Description
These raddles are made like a reed but without a top. The tines are 6cm (2.5 inches) tall and the spacing is 1cm (6/8th inch) apart. The total height is 8cm and these raddles are 3cm longer than the weaving width. They are designed to be used in the beater. The purpose of a raddle is to spread the warp width evenly before beaming on. The beater lid is used after spreading the warp to keep the threads secure. The diameter of the base is just over 1cm so they will fit beaters on many different makes of table and floor of loom. We aim to keep all sizes up to 120cm in stock, but larger sizes up to 2m are available to order. Please get in touch for information on availability and lead time.
If you prefer a wooden raddle with lid we stock these too.
